Electrical Apprentice / Helper Position Summary The Electrical Apprentice/Helper assists licensed electricians and experienced electrical technicians with the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. This is an entry‑level position designed for individuals who are interested in learning the electrical trade while gaining hands‑on experience in the field. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist electricians with residential and/or commercial electrical installations and repairs. Carry tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to and from work areas. Assist with pulling wire, installing conduit, mounting electrical boxes, and other basic electrical tasks under supervision. Help prepare and clean work areas before, during, and after jobs. Safely use basic hand tools and power tools as directed. Follow instructions from electricians, supervisors, and project leads. Follow company safety policies, jobsite procedures, and applicable electrical safety requirements. Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE). Keep company vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment. Communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, contractors, and other trades. Attend required safety meetings, training, and apprenticeship‑related instruction. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications No previous electrical experience required; construction or electrical experience is a plus. Willingness and ability to learn the electrical trade. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools after proper instruction. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred. Must comply with company safety policies and procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces when required. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions. Ability to safely perform the physical duties required of the position.
